I consider American Apparel one of my guilty pleasures. The prices are a bit more than I would like to spend on such simple styles, but feel the pieces are worth the chunk of change considering they are not made in a foreign sweatshop. I also love the variations of colors and patterns provided for each piece. Every couple months I stock up on a few seasonal items from the American made clothing line. This Summer I aimed to add more light neutral staples to my wardrobe and nude pants were at the top of my list. I was excited to see these sexy high-waisted jeggings in the store. However,American Apparel pants often don't fit my proportions well, so I was a bit nervous to try them on. They're a bit long for me and I will have to hem a few inches off, but I love where they hit my waist and the overall fabric. Although the color is very light, they are not sheer which is a bare necessity when rocking this outlandish style. Secondly, I found this modal turtleneck and felt the two were a match made in heaven. I have another top made with the same fabric from the company, which I love, so it was an easy sell. It reminds me of suede, with less maintenance, and is very comfortable. I topped off the look with Steve Madden strappy heels and an Urban Expressions bag.
