After nearly a decade in retail, I learned that when a shopper has a specific idea in mind it is typically harder to satisfy their craving. Having a vision is great, but sometimes when the vision is too specific it is not possible to find, especially if it is out of season. I passively go after specific trends I fall in love with, but don't go out of my way to have it immediately. Partially because I have an abundance of clothing I am trying to minimize and partially because I'm lazy. When I shop I gather every item I think I may like and sift through each garment in the fitting room. With each piece I pull over my head and over my hips I envision all the ways in which I can utilize it.
There are so many reasons I love this funky look! I collected a bunch of items, unsure of what I wanted, and slowly put this eclectic set together. As I mentioned in a previous post, yellow is not an easy color for me to wear, but I tried to get away with this vibrant shade because I love the combination of the exaggerated keyhole and high neck. I layered a reddish-orange necklace over theMink Pink top to add an extra pop and to take up the space on my chest. I've seen this bomber style all over Instagram and was excited to finally feature it on my own page. This Six Crisp Days jacket is available in navy and army green atAmbiance. These pants are similar to other styles I have in terms of fabric and high waist, but are more unique with a wider leg and slits on each side. I topped off the look with Free People hybrid heel booties. I love all the different dimensions of this look. Each piece tells a different story, but relate enough to work cohesively.
