I worked all of Labor Day Weekend and was excited I was able to spend Monday with Mario. On our way downtown we decided to stop for lunch in Noe Valley. We had accidental wine tasting at NoVY because I couldn't decide on a glass of wine and the server was kind enough to let me try a few before committing. I ended up choosing the Pinot Noir and it was delicious!
For lunch I layered my white bamboo dress from Classic Dailies which I featured the beginning of summer, and my new sweater dress by Lumiere Fashion. I topped off my all black look with a simple faux leather jacket by BB Dakota and my most worn Urban Expressions purse.
After Lunch we headed downtown on Muni. Neither one of us have a car at the moment and we mostly take Muni everywhere, aside from occasionally resorting to a ride share app.
We finally made it downtown and I changed into my new Very J dress. We decided to take photos at the Four Seasons balcony and I loved the serenity and view. It can be distracting to take photos with a lot of people around and especially hard to get a clear shot so I appreciated the privacy.
I kept the look very simple because I wanted to highlight the details of the dress without distraction. I absolutely love the deep-v neckline, velvet fabric, and bell skirt. The upper half of the dress is fitted and has an empire waist, while the bottom is a discreet high-low skirt that translates into a bell shape (which is all the rage right now). The velvet is very comfortable and the empire waist is flattering. You can eat all you want in this piece or wear it when you're feeling a little bloated and still feel sexy because nobody will notice your belly (most of the attention will be on your chest anyway). This dress is perfect for cocktail attire, a fancy date night, or a night out with the girls.
